1. IRF Events
Event bookings submitted less than 48 hours before an IRF organised event cannot be guaranteed unless you receive a confirmation from IRF. Cancellation policy is specifically defined in the registration form and other registration documents for each event and may vary from one event to the other.
2. IRF Publications
IRF publications will be shipped (economy mode) upon receipt of payment. Cancellations received within 48 hours of the placed order will receive a full refund less 25% administrative costs. If an IRF publication should be out of stock, you will receive an order cancellation notification and you will receive a full refund.
3. IRF Webinars & E-learning
A paid webinar booking entitles you to access the webinar recordings. The right of access to a Webinar is non-transferable. Webinar bookings are not refunded. IRF retains the right to postpone a webinar to a later date should the circumstances dictate. If so, your booking for the original webinar will remain valid. IRF does not hold any responsibility for the inability to access a webinar due to hardware or software issues with your IT equipment.
4. Currency
When making payments on IRF websites, your credit card will be debited for the amount and currency mentioned on the payment form. All costs related to currency conversion are carried by the buyer.
5. Applicable Law
Transactions through IRF website are governed by Swiss law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swiss courts.
6. Your Rights of Use of IRF Material
You can copy, download or print content for your own use and you can also include excerpts from IRF publications and multimedia products (with the exception of the IRF World Road Statistics for which specific Terms and Conditions apply) in your own documents, presentations, blogs, websites and teaching materials, provided that suitable acknowledgment of IRF as source and copyright owners is given.
7. Security
Security measures are in place to protect the information you send us against loss, misuse and alteration. These security measures ensure the privacy of information while it is transmitted through the Internet and stored on our servers.
When you access the payment area of the IRF websites (www.irfofficial.org, www.worldroadstatistics.org, www.gtkp.com, www.research4cap.org), your transaction across the Internet is protected by high-strength 256 bit SSL encryption, provided you are using Mozilla Firefox, Opera or Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0+. You will notice your web-browser “padlock” (bottom left or right edge of screen) is turned on before data entry occurs, this ensures that data transmission is totally private. If you are using an older web browser, the strength of encryption will be lower, usually 40 bit SSL. It is strongly recommended that all users of this site upgrade their browser to versions that support 256 bit SSL encryption.
No financial information is stored on IRF servers. This includes but is not limited to credit card numbers, expiry dates and CVN numbers. The information submitted is used once only for the purpose of the transaction, then destroyed on completion of the transaction. If the transaction cannot be completed immediately the information is discarded and the information will need to be resubmitted for the next attempt.
In addition IRF servers are housed in secure facilities in Geneva with access restricted to authorised personnel.
8. Privacy
Data and Privacy policy of IRF is specified in “IRF Data and Private Policy” as per EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
9. Disclaimer
IRF does not warrant, guarantee or make any representations regarding the accuracy, correctness, reliability, usability, or any other aspect, of the material presented on IRF websites, nor of material provided by others to IRF and presented on this Web site, nor of material provided by others and accessed from this site using links or connections to their Web sites or distribution services. The links we provide to websites other than IRF are not under our control and are provided to you only as a convenience. IRF is not responsible for the content of any such websites.
