Advancing Serbia’s Highway Infrastructure: Introducing ‘Green Stations’ Project
PE “Roads of Serbia“, following world trends in order to modernise the road infrastructure, launched the project of construction of “Green Stations”, the implementation of which will make Serbia the most equipped country in the region when it comes to equipment for the needs of electric charger users.
The construction of “Green Stations” implies the construction of facilities with electric chargers for electric vehicles and accompanying facilities at existing rest areas and parking lots on state roads of the I A order in the Republic of Serbia.
At a total of 16 locations, a minimum of 5 electric chargers will be installed at one location and buildings of up to 100 m2 will be built with accompanying facilities that are necessary for users of highway, such as restaurants, services and others.
In the first wave, 80 new electric chargers are expected to be installed out of a total of 320.
On the roads of Serbia, at the toll stations, there are currently 8 electric chargers and the installation of 16 new ones is in progress, as well as an additional 7 on new sections such as: highway E-761 (Moravian Corridor) and highway Ruma-Šabac.
